These Boots Are Made for Splashing

A lonesome moment in the life of the Brooklyn child of Oregonian parent:

But of course Rosemary was oblivious to the fact that there was no one else around and was having a grand old time splashing around, trying with intermittent success to stay upright on slippery ground wearing rain boots two sizes too big. She was seriously bummed when I decided that soaked through meant time to go home. Doesn't that just mean you can't get any wetter, so you might as well stay there? Hot bath and nap followed.

I love it! The good thing about a Bklyn playground in the rain is NO MUD.
